Shareholder activism, mainly representing hedgefunds in activist campaigns, public offer situations and squeeze-out proceedings. Furthermore experienced in complex (international) litigation and advising in relation to solving (potentially) litigious situations, commercial disputes and distressed debt recovery. Represented amongst others JANA Partners LLC, The Children’s Investment Fund and other hedgefunds, as well as certain members of the supervisory board of KPNQwest.

 

Education and career

Studied European Studies at London University and tax law and civil law at the University of Groningen. Started as an attorney at law at Loeff Claeys Verbeke and moved on to the Brauw. Initially combining the field of both tax and corporate law. Since the start at Spigthoff in 2001, focus entirely on the edge of corporate law , financial law and corporate litigation.
